Our own flats experience
Transparency you can trust
Our story begins with a simple observation: renting in Barcelona can be overwhelming for newcomers.
I’m Alex Mallart, founder of Barcelona Rent Help. As a real estate investor, I have always guided my tenants through the move-in process. Over the years, I saw how confusing and unfriendly it was for them—unclear contracts, language barriers, endless paperwork. I also experienced the same struggles myself while living abroad and traveling, which gave me the empathy to understand both sides.
That’s why I decided to create a premium, personal advisory service designed specifically for MBAs students, expats, and families moving to Barcelona.
Our mission is to make settling in simple, transparent, and stress-free:
Explaining contracts clearly in English.
Avoiding scams through a network of trusted agencies.
Handling utilities and practicalities so everything is ready when you arrive.
At Barcelona Rent Help, you get more than a service—you get a partner who knows the city, understands the challenges, and is committed to helping you feel at home from day one.
Barcelona’s rental market is highly competitive. Approvals depend on documentation, positioning, and timing.
If you are:
You apply to flats and get no replies
You’re unsure whether you need temporary or long-term
You don’t know what agencies/landlords will accept
You’re being rejected even with a strong income
This is exactly what we solve.
In a 45-minute Strategic Advisory Session, we build your approval plan. After that, you can continue alone or activate our Full Search Service.
Step 1 — Strategic Advisory Session (45 min)
€80 + VAT
A focused 45-minute session to assess your profile and define the fastest path to approval in Barcelona.
What we review
• Documentation & financial profile (what will/won’t be accepted)
• Budget & area reality check (what’s realistic right now)
• Temporary vs long-term strategy (based on your situation)
• Approval risks + how to improve your odds
Outcome
You leave with a clear plan, next steps, and realistic expectations.
After the Strategic Advisory Session, you may choose full representation. We handle the full process of securing your apartment, applying the strategy and positioning your profile to maximise approval.
• Property identification and screening
• Agency and landlord communication
• Profile positioning and negotiation
• Contract review and signing support
Total service fee: 1 month’s rent + VAT
To begin, you pay €420 + VAT.
The remaining amount (up to 1 month’s rent) is paid only once the apartment is secured and the contract is signed.
We guide you step-by-step: search, shortlist trusted options, negotiate contracts in English, and set up utilities — even from abroad.
Not always. Some landlords accept international transfers; others prefer a Spanish account. We’ll advise you based on each case.
Usually within 1–2 weeks, depending on apartment availability and documentation. We fast-track the process for expats.
